HelpCompanyCam
Set up the CompanyCam connection.
An admin connects once for the whole organization. Each project is then linked to its CompanyCam project, and its photos go there on their own.
The steps
Photos only go to projects you link. Until a project is linked, nothing from it is sent.
How ProPunch works with Procore and CompanyCamStep 1: Sign in to ProPunch as an owner or admin
Connecting is an organization-level action, so it needs one of those two roles.
Step 2: Open Admin Settings
CompanyCam is listed under Construction Platforms.
Step 3: Connect CompanyCam
If the card shows Connect CompanyCam, choose it, sign in to CompanyCam and approve access; you come back to ProPunch connected. If the card asks for an access token instead, create a Personal Access Token in CompanyCam, paste it into the card and choose Connect. Either way, use a CompanyCam admin account set aside for ProPunch: photos appear in CompanyCam under that user.
Step 4: Check the card
It shows the connected CompanyCam company, the CompanyCam user, who connected it and when.
Step 5: Open a ProPunch project
Any project whose photos should go to CompanyCam.
Step 6: Link it to the CompanyCam project
In the project’s CompanyCam row choose Connect, find the matching CompanyCam project (you can search by name), then Link. Repeat for each project. An owner, admin or project manager can link a project.
What ProPunch sends to CompanyCam
Photos only, into the CompanyCam project linked to the ProPunch project:
- Photos of failed checklist items.
- Delivery photos.
- Appliance label photos.
- A still from each failed item in a video walkthrough.
Each photo carries a written caption: the unit, the room and item or the delivery, and a link back to ProPunch. Checklist items, statuses and sign-offs are not sent, and ProPunch does not edit or delete anything in CompanyCam.
What comes back
On a larger screen, the linked ProPunch project shows the four most recent photos from its CompanyCam project, to view only. A unit can also be linked to its own CompanyCam project to browse its photos; nothing is sent to a unit link. Work done in CompanyCam does not change anything in ProPunch.
Disconnecting
An owner or admin can disconnect from the same card in Admin Settings. Disconnecting stops all sending and removes every project and unit link; photos already in CompanyCam stay there. If you connected with an access token, delete that token in CompanyCam too.
